The Trust boast an excellent record in supporting candidates with the Portfolio pathway and have successfully assisted a number of doctors with gaining specialist registration via this route. In order to support this process the Trust are offering successful candidates 2 year fixed term contracts, this can be extended if more time is required to complete the Portfolio pathway. The AMU has several distinct functions: 08.00 to 20h00 there is a shop floor AMU consultant continually reviewing patients with junior colleagues. Patients may remain within the AMU especially when it is expected that they will be discharged within 24 to 48 hours. There is 14 bedded OPAL unit There is Specialty Ownership on AMU 7/7 We work closely with our Acute GP colleagues to deliver an integrate Primary and secondary care service Postgrad and Undergraduate teaching is a large part of our roles and we have now been rated as the best trust in the best region for Postgraduate teaching. Teaching and Training The post-holder is expected to participate in the teaching and training of junior staff, medical students and other clinical staff groups. The post-holder will also have supervision responsibilities for junior medical staff within the specialty. Study and Training The post-holder is expected to participate in professional continuing medical education; study leave is provided for this purpose, and the post-holder will be entitled to apply to the Trust’s Study Leave Committee for a contribution to funding of this activity. Research Members of the Division are encouraged to pursue approved topics of research. There are funds available within the hospital for approved studies. The use of commercial funds for ethically approved The job plan is structured around 10 PAs. 2.5 SPA non-timetabled activity during year one of appointment. After the first-year consultants are entitled to 1.5 SPA and an additional 1.0PA SPA is negotiable for specific activities and interests. DCC 8.5 PAs ward work, admin, and PMS teaching. Additional investment has been provided to improve their Elderly services at the Trust and within the wider community. I am partnered with a well reputable hospital in Wales that are looking for a Gastroenterology Consultant that would like to have ERCP lists. This is a fixed term or substantive role – ideally, they would like someone with CCT or CESR. However, the trust would consider UK based Consultants without specialist registration. Research is also encouraged at the trust. Recently, the trust has refurbished the Gastroenterology department - it is a 24 bedded ward including 8 single rooms, meeting the IBD standards. The department provides outpatient clinics. There are weekly nutrition, upper GI and colorectal cancer MDT meetings. The IBD and Hepatology teams hold their MDTs monthly. I am partnered with a university NHS trust situated along the beautiful south coast of the UK seeking a consultant radiologist with an interest in Paediatric radiology on a fixed term or substantive contract. The University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a recently formed institution and the CCG have confirmed that the main site will develop as the Major Acute Centre and the sister site becoming the Major Planned Care Centre for the east of the county. A recent structure forms part of the £250m transformation, including a bespoke and modern child health unit including a neonatal intensive care unit. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic consultant radiologist to work within the radiology directorate, part of the Specialities Care Group. The radiology department of the trust will have a combined radiologist workforce of 33 diagnostic radiologists, with a range of subspecialty interests, working in collaboration with a further 6 interventional radiologists. The size of the directorate facilitates the development of a degree of sub specialisation across the group. There are currently two full time consultant radiologists with an interest in paediatric radiology and one less than full time consultant radiologist with an interest in paediatric radiology. The successful candidate would enjoy an extremely satisfying working relationship with the Consultants and staff of the Paediatric department who hold a great deal of professional respect for each other. It would be preferable if the candidate has an interest in other areas of radiology and could contribute to the general on call rota, however, we would also welcome applications from paediatric radiologists; either those who are currently working in tertiary paediatric centres and may be looking for a change in pace, or those who have recently completed their training. If it was in line with the candidate’s wishes, a structured refresher program would be provided to expand into other areas of interest, or to resume general radiology practice. The candidate would not be required to do on-call or general radiology if this was not desired, or if not confident to do so. The idea would be to build the job plan around the skills and aspirations of the candidate. Essential criteria: Full GMC FRCR (or equivalent) Competent in paediatric imaging such as plain film reporting, ultrasound and cross sectional imaging. The is an Institute of Medical Visualisation aimed at performing medical research housing a 3T MRI scanner. I am partnered with a District General Hospital based in Yorkshire on an NHS fixed term or a permanent contract.  My client can support a variety of special interests, however the most desirable are Oncology/Cross section, Chest & Cardiac, Nuclear Medicine & Non-vascular intervention.  Join a busy, modern hospital with a dynamic team providing a wide range of clinical services to Yorkshire.  The Medical Imaging Department is well equipped and provides a wide range of services. Skill mix is well established with Radiographers undertaking Plain Film, CT, and Ultrasound reporting. There are 2 1.5 Tesla MRI Scanners, 3 Multi-Slice Spiral CT scanners, a recently refurbished dedicated Interventional Suite, 10 Ultrasound machines and 2 SPECT/CT cameras. There is full RIS/PACS desktop integration with voice recognition and home workstations provided. The hospital has associated teaching hospital status & is part of the radiology training scheme taking in specialty registrar rotations. The on calls are currently 1:10, hopefully this will reduce with more Consultants adding to the team.  The area is surrounded by attractive countryside, contemporary leisure facilities and extensive retail outlets. I am recruiting for a O&G staff grade to join a hospital based in the channel islands for a substantive contract.   The basic salary is dependent on experience, but the trust offers up to £135,000 per annum (further increments can increase once in post) + relocation package. The full time post of Staff Grade in Obstetrics & Gynaecology comprises 10-programmed activities per week, plus 4 additional programmed activities based on the resident out of hours rota at the General Hospital, Jersey, assisting in providing a 24:7 Obstetrics & Gynaecology service for the population of Jersey. The appointee will be expected to participate in the Middle Grade resident out of hour’s rota (1:6), but on-call and day-time sessions will be flexible so that they reflect service needs, at the discretion of the Head of Service and Clinical Lead. The post holder will be on duty with a Junior Doctor. The post holder should be experienced in all aspects of Labour ward management and operative deliveries. The island has approx 1,000 deliveries per year. General gynaecology experience at Staff Grade or Registrar level (or equivalent) is essential. There is an Assisted Reproduction Unit with a Satellite Assisted Conception service linking in with the Lister Hospital in London. Clinics are held to prepare couples for the Assisted Conception programme in accordance with the HFEA. There are 4 Colposcopy clinics each week and it would be desirable if the successful candidate was accredited in Colposcopy. An early pregnancy unit is held Mon – Fri mornings and experience in early pregnancy scanning is desirable. I am partnered with a busy acute trust based in the South West of the UK, seeking a Radiologist on a permanent or fixed term contract. I need a Radiologist with an interest in Gynae Radiology and/or Paediatric Radiology (post arisen due to retirement). 10 PA 7.5 DCC, 2.5 SPA If a newly appointed consultant, the successful applicant will be eligible to apply for additional study leave to undertake up to 3 months additional subspecialty radiology training to meet specific learning objectives that are of benefit to the applicant and the Clinical Imaging Directorate. This additional study leave must be taken within 2 years of appointment. There may be a requirement to participate the on call rota during this period of additional study leave. The successful candidate will join a team of 30 Consultants providing a wide range of general and specialist radiology services and will be expected to contribute to the second on 1:11 general radiology on call service. First on call is provided by Radiology On Call, a network Registrar delivered service. The trust is a large training centre for the Postgraduate School of Radiology. A number of Specialty Registrars rotate through the department at any one time (17 in 2024/5). Home workstations are available for consultant radiologists to facilitate more flexible working. For most consultants on a standard full time contract job plans include one day a week for flexible SPA/off work (subject to job planning). A new imaging & oncology centre (including 2 new MRI scanners with space for a third) opened in 2023. The Trust is also planning a new Women & Children's centre. We also have CDCs. The Clinical Imaging department registration with QSI renewed in 2023. We are in the process of moving from the UKAS accredited QSI scheme to the RCR / SCoR QSI quality mark scheme. The department was rated as Outstanding by the CQC. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty, the county is known to be home to Britains best beaches & countryside. The main towns are busy and have lots to do. It has its own national airport so can reach London in 40 minutes.
