I am delighted to announce that a vacancy for a substantive stroke consultant has become available within a district general hospital based in the Surrey area. The job is 10 PA with an extra 1.1PA for participating in the GIM Rota, and 1.3PA for participating in the Telemedicine for Stroke Service. There is also the option of combining the stroke role with General Internal Medicine, and a perspective rota is included in this pack. We have a talented team of dedicated consultants working in a friendly, flexible, and cohesive group. The trust is supported by a team of 2 on call trust-grade doctors and 6 stroke specialist nurses to help with acute admission, facilitating thrombolysis, and transferring potential thrombectomy patients to a tertiary centre. They also assist with referrals from other specialties. We have a regular weekly neuro-radiology MDT. The trust is enthusiastic, welcoming, and proactive in supporting special interests. Our ward has a bed capacity of up to 32 beds, including 8 HASU, along with acute and other therapy beds. I am currently working with a district general hospital based within the Midlands, seeking a Consultant Geriatrician role within a well-organized and collaborative department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality care for frail, elderly patients across their organization. The Trust is committed to the provision of a modern high quality, Consultant-led elderly care service, and the successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the 6 Consultants in Elderly Care currently in post. There are daily consultant ward rounds with the expectation that every patient will have a daily senior medical review. There are efforts to develop enhanced care for frail older people and alternatives to hospital admission, such as virtual Frailty ward. We are working alongside an expanding department in the heart of Essex who are looking for a Diabetes and Endocrinology Consultant to join them on a fixed term or substantive basis. The successful candidate would provide Consultant care, advice and treatment to all patients with Diabetes and Endocrine problems within a modern, effective and integrated service, this is a 10 PA post for 6 months. An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to further develop and maintain our high-quality local service. The trust is a district General Hospital providing acute services to the population of West Essex and East & North Hertfordshire from a 489 bedded site in Harlow, Essex (PAH) and two Community hospitals, St Margaret’s Hospital (SMH), Epping and the Herts and Essex Hospital (HEH) in Bishops Stortford.
