About the Role

I am recruiting for a Consultant Neuro Radiologist on a fixed term or permanent contract.

Applications are invited for to join our friendly and forward-thinking team and contribute to the activity of our busy department. You will have the opportunity to enhance a subspecialty interest, and to progress your career at one of the largest acute teaching trusts in the country, with opportunities to participate in research, education and radiological innovation.

The 10 PA posts cover all aspects of diagnostic neuroradiology. Subspecialist areas of interest that would particularly complement those of the existing team are adult neuro-oncology, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, neurodegeneration, paediatrics, pituitary, spine.

The Neurological Centre is the regional neuroscience unit, providing a dedicated, integrated, 24 hour acute neurosurgical and neurological assessment, investigation and treatment service to adults and children. We also have a designated Level 1 Trauma Centre, a Comprehensive Stroke Centre with provision of a 7-day mechanical thrombectomy service, and a regional head and neck unit. Stereotactic radiosurgery is provided within the large Oncology unit.

Job responsibilities:
 
  • Contribute to provision of a high quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service.
  • Share in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on call on a rota basis (intended to be 1 in 7 with prospective cover)
  • Develop specialist skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support regional tertiary services.
  • Along with their consultant colleagues, provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees.
  • Some duties may be provided by offsite working.

Essential criteria:
Full GMC
Full FRCR
Experience in a Specialist Neuro centre
Experience in a sub-specialist area with an interest to develop these aspects further
Salary: as per NHS payscale

Cardiology Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Yorkshire for a new Consultant Cardiologist to join an existing team of nine Consultant Cardiologists working in this successful Teaching Hospital. This is a post for a consultant cardiologist with an interest in complex devices; this will include sessions to carry out implantation and follow up of complex devices. This may include sessions in the catheter lab at our neighbouring hospital. You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of a seven day a week service however this can be delivered flexibly to maintain work life balance or support a specialist interest at a tertiary centre. CARDIOLOGY AND CARDIOTHORACIC SURGERY SERVICES Providing tertiary Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery Services for a population of approximately 1.8 million people as well as Secondary Care Cardiology Services. Cardiology, Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery services have been housed within the purpose-built Hospital since April 1997.  The facilities include 5 cardiac catheter labs with a 6-bay Day Case Trolley Area, 5 dedicated surgical operating theatres, a 12 bedded Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and an 8-bedded Coronary Care Unit. The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Service The Arrhythmia Service consists of 7 Consultant Cardiologists including two specialist device implanters. Services include implantation of complex devices, conduction-system pacing, leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous ICD implantation and extraction, with high risk extractions undertaken as hybrid procedures jointly with cardiothoracic surgical colleagues. There is also a post-CCT Clinical fellow, a team of Arrhythmia Nurse Specialists including an Arrhythmia Care Coordinator (4 posts) and dedicated administrative support with a single point of access. Paediatric Radiologist

I am recruiting a Paediatric Radiologist on a Fixed term or permanent contract in one of the UKs leading childrens hospitals and major trauma centres. The successful applicant will share responsibility with seven other colleagues for the provision of all aspects of paediatric imaging in our Trust and the Trusts within the network. The team provide second opinions in cases of suspected physical abuse to a wide range of hospitals from across the UK. This post include sessions for reporting time for Plain Film, MRI, CT and nuclear medicine, performing ultrasound and fluoroscopy procedures and participation in multidisciplinary meetings. The Paediatric Radiology Department is newly refurbished. There are two X-ray Rooms, two Ultrasound rooms and a Fluoroscopy suite. Paediatric CT and MRI scans and Interventional Radiology procedures are undertaken within the wider imaging department located nearby. The Paediatric Radiology Team consists of 7 Consultant Paediatric Radiologists and a team of Paediatric Sonographers (3 WTE), Specialist Paediatric Radiographers (3 WTE), Rotational Paediatric Plain Film Radiographers (2 WTE), led by a Lead Paediatric Radiographer. The team are supported by two Paediatric Imaging Assistants, who support with reception duties, ultrasound and fluoroscopy cases. We offer a comprehensive range of specialist paediatric services. We provides a tertiary paediatric and neonatal services to the adjacent areas, surgical services and neurosurgical services. Additionally the hospital provides supra-regional services for paediatric spinal surgery, rheumatology, nephro-urology and cystic fibrosis. I am recruiting for a district general hospital based in the South of England.  The trust are happy to offer a welcome payment of £12,000 + an £8,000 relocation package for permanent appointments.  There are 3 vacancies for Consultant Radiologists to contribute to the general workload & develop a specialty interest that complements the team. Uro, H&N, Chest and/or Breast would be particular advantageous.  This is an exciting opportunity to join an excellent team in a beautiful city.  There is the opportunity for home reporting with equipment provided by the Trust. You will be expected to participate in the on call rota, currently 1 in 12. Overnight and weekend on-call working is supported by teleradiology with outsourcing for CT/MRI from 7pm to 9am on weekdays and 3pm to 9am at weekends.
