Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctor

We are working with an NHS Trust based in the East of England who are looking to recruit Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctors for their division. The Emergency Department, has recently had a new expansion and has opened 4 beds in resus; 16 Majors bays and fit to sit areas. 3 Rapid assessment/ambulance off load area. 6 bays in Ambulatory majors with a further 4 rooms for assessment. There is a dedicated paediatric facility consisting of a waiting room and 3 cubicles. Paediatric patients make up around 20% of the workload. There is 7 an Urgent Care are with 6 cubicles and waiting room for minor injury and illness patients. The hospital has a fully operational floodlit Helipad which provides easy access to emergency care for many of our patients who are injured/fall ill in the more remote areas of the region. The role is a 10 PA contract which can be divided into 8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPA time, there is support for CESR depending on what requirements the successful candidate has. The trust is inviting applications for a Consultant Community Paediatrician and Autism Medical Lead. The post holder will be part of the Community Consultant team, with no resident on call. The post is 6pas and will include a mixture of clinical work. We have received a significant investment in our Autism Diagnostic Pathway and the post holder will have a key role in shaping that together with the pathway lead. The post will also supervise trainee doctors in carrying out the supervision of Safeguarding medical examinations (on a rota basis) and general clinics. Clinics will include child development/special schools and Autism Diagnostics (ADOS). Cardiology Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Yorkshire for a new Consultant Cardiologist to join an existing team of nine Consultant Cardiologists working in this successful Teaching Hospital. This is a post for a consultant cardiologist with an interest in complex devices; this will include sessions to carry out implantation and follow up of complex devices. This may include sessions in the catheter lab at our neighbouring hospital. You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of a seven day a week service however this can be delivered flexibly to maintain work life balance or support a specialist interest at a tertiary centre. CARDIOLOGY AND CARDIOTHORACIC SURGERY SERVICES Providing tertiary Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery Services for a population of approximately 1.8 million people as well as Secondary Care Cardiology Services. Cardiology, Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery services have been housed within the purpose-built Hospital since April 1997.  The facilities include 5 cardiac catheter labs with a 6-bay Day Case Trolley Area, 5 dedicated surgical operating theatres, a 12 bedded Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and an 8-bedded Coronary Care Unit. The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Service The Arrhythmia Service consists of 7 Consultant Cardiologists including two specialist device implanters. Services include implantation of complex devices, conduction-system pacing, leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous ICD implantation and extraction, with high risk extractions undertaken as hybrid procedures jointly with cardiothoracic surgical colleagues. There is also a post-CCT Clinical fellow, a team of Arrhythmia Nurse Specialists including an Arrhythmia Care Coordinator (4 posts) and dedicated administrative support with a single point of access.
