We are pleased to be working with a large NHS trust in the North West of England and assisting in their search for a consultant Breast Surgeon.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated team of Breast Surgeons, Consultant Radiologists, Breast Care Nurses, and Mammographers. The well-run centre provides a wide range of comprehensive services and proudly sees 99% of patients within the required time, demonstrating the efficiency of the department.

Locum Consultant Neonates

We are working with a Large Teaching NHS Hospital based in Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Locum Consultant Neonates for their department.
Job overview
The role will include supervision to the Neonatal Unit, postnatal wards and Transitional Care in the Hospital. You will be expected to contribute to the tertiary neonatal unit advice service to Level 1 and 2 services in the units through the Embrace referral and transport service.
As a training hospital as, part of your role will be to provide support to trainees in induction, teaching and training and to act as clinical and educational supervisor.
A number of outpatients will be included in the rota which will include clinics by telephone/video and face to face for GP referrals under the age of 1 year and for neonatal patients after discharge.
Working with the Neonatal team, service development and national strategies for critical care and for quality improvement.
The role will also involve engaging with external agencies eg coroner and social care as required in your capacity as named consultant for the babies.
The successful applicant will contribute to departmental duties like organization of junior doctor rotas, guideline development and other aspects of governance, supervise junior doctor audit and supervision of junior doctor teaching sessions including induction.

Specialist Doctor - Stroke / Medicine

We are working with a General Acute NHS Hospital based in the Lancashire who are looking to recruit a Specialist Doctor - Stroke / Medicine for their department.
The Hospital provides an active acute thrombolysis service (with thrombectomy and also makes use of the specialist Telestroke On-Call Service out of hours and at weekends.
Specialist Level doctors with a minimum of 6-years sub-specialty training in Stroke medicine are encouraged to apply. Applicants are encouraged to clearly exhibit how they meet our criteria in their application. It is essential that you meet the minimum post-qualifying time frame alongside the minimum number of years’ experience is Stroke Medicine as the successful post-holder will be the “Senior Decision Making” doctor on the Stroke On Call rota at times.
The post holder will be a member of the Care of the Elderly and Stroke Team and contribute to the provision of a high quality service, including achievement of the emergency access targets and other relevant quality standards.
The post holder will be expected to provide excellent communication with GPs and members of the multidisciplinary team and to be involved in clinical audit and other clinical governance responsibilities.

Consultant Histopathologist

Consultant Histopathologist
We are working in partnership with an Acute General Hospital in Devon to appoint a Consultant Histopathologist.
The Department is housed in a self-contained unit opposite the outpatient department.
It comprises separate histopathology, cytopathology and immunohistology laboratories; secretarial office, 5 consultant offices, 1 senior MLSO office and tea-room.
The mortuary is close-by on the ground floor of the main hospital block and has undergone major updating with an increased storage facility, expanding from 50 standard fridges, 16 plus size and 4 freezer spaces to 65 standards, 20 plus size and 9 freezer spaces and a refitted postmortem room with 2 new tables. (New in 2017)
All consultants have their own offices with modern microscopes, video capture and VDU display, together with a networked PC.
There is a large multiheaded teaching/consultation microscope in the main laboratory.
A wide range of immunohistochemically stains are performed using 2 Benchmark Ultra analysers, with a maximum of 180 slides/day (if 3 ‘runs’, however, normally only 2 are required per day). These machines are also capable of performing in situ hybridisation, currently only used routinely for immunoglobulin light chains and EBV. Immunofluorescence is used for skin biopsies on request.

Acute Medicine Consultant

We are working with a University Hospital based in the South West who are looking to recruit Acute Medicine Consultants for their department.
These are permanent posts, however, the Trust will look at Fixed term contracts for candidates without GMC Specialist Registration.
The department can support the portfolio pathway and at present have 3 Doctors completing this process.
The post is a 10 PA contract with the opportunity for 2 additional PA's in a sub specialist interest, there is an on call commitment.
Acute Medicine Consultants will be expected to work no more than one in seven weekends, in line with other medical specialties. This will usually involve one long day (0800 to 2000 with a break in the middle) and one short day (0800 to 1300), or Saturday Take Assist (1100 to 1800) and Sunday SDEC shift (1000 to 1700).

I am working with a district general hospital who are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic colleague to join the Consultant Community Paediatrician. The hospital is located in Hertfordshire.
The post is based at the Child Development Centre in the City, there may be some peripheral clinics in the county's special schools.
A good general Community Child Health background is essential; we are particularly looking to recruit a paediatrician with an interest and experience in autism/neurodevelopment.

I am working with a district general hospital who are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic colleague to join the Respiratory & Acute Medicine teams as a Specialty Doctor. The role provides a path to develop skills & competencies towards a CESR, with potential to join the Respiratory Consultant team in the future. The hospital is located in Hertfordshire.
Duties
1. Inpatients – Care of Respiratory Unit patients and providing advice to inpatients in other areas with support of the Respiratory ward consultant, and alongside Respiratory specialty trainees. 1:4 weekend support on the Respiratory Ward.
2. Outpatients – The successful candidate will deliver general respiratory and have the opportunity to develop sub-specialist interest with the support of consultants. Particular support will be given to developing expertise in a variety of subspecialties to meet CESR requirements. Templates for clinics 3 new and 4 follow up patients.
3. The successful candidate will be supported to develop procedural skills in pleural procedures, including medical Thoracoscopy and bronchoscopy.
4. Maintaining a portfolio and logbook of procedures. The applicant will be supported towards achieving accreditation in thoracic ultrasound.
5. Attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings and attend tertiary centre specialist sub-specialty training to meet Respiratory curriculum requirements.

We are working in partnership with a District General Hospital in Oxfordshire to appoint a Consultant in Histopathology.
The Trust’s Cellular Pathology service is undergoing an exciting period of development, with the ambition to become a leader in the field of Cellular Pathology management.
The Role
The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the delivery and future development of histopathology and cytopathology services at the Trust. The post also offers the opportunity to take the lead in one or more subspecialty disciplines, with current needs in:
Gynaecology (screening & non-screening workload and MDT)
Non-gynaecological cytology
Gastrointestinal pathology
Upper GI MDT
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the general diagnostic surgical pathology rota or contribute specialist expertise to complement the existing consultant team.
Report urgent cases (nominal responsibility one day per week).
Supervise and support junior medical staff on an equitable basis.
Attend and contribute to cancer multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings as lead or deputy pathologist.
Take part in relevant clinical audits and external quality assurance (EQA) schemes.
