We are currently recruiting for an Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctor to join a teaching hospital in the North West of England. 

The Emergency Department has recently undergone a significant refurbishment, with a brand-new unit opening this year. The team is exceptionally supportive of doctors aiming to achieve CESR, and the trust has an impressive record of clinicians successfully obtaining specialist registration.

The hospital is situated in a family-friendly city with excellent transport links, including being just one hour from a major international airport. You’ll have the best of both worlds: vibrant urban living with great amenities and schools, while being only a short drive from the stunning Lake District, one of the most beautiful and peaceful parts of the UK.

To be eligible for this role, candidates will need:

  • Previous NHS experience

As a new Consultant, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Hepatology services in a region with a substantial chronic liver disease burden. The Hepatology department offers a broad and progressive service, including nurse-led Fibroscan clinics, stable cirrhosis pathways, and a dedicated Hepatitis C service. Based in a vibrant coastal town, the Trust serves a local population of more than 400,000 and welcomes over 10 million visitors each year. We have been instructed by a large teaching hospital in the North West to assist in their search for a consultant in General Medicine.  You will be joining a well established team and be responsible for the care of approximately 15 acute hospital care inpatients, inpatient rehabilitation outpatient clinics and on-call for general medicine. There will also be an opportunity to explore a special interest.
