I am partnered with an NHS trust based in Norfolk, seeking to appoint a Speciality Doctor in Cardiology on an NHS fixed term or permanent contract.
This post was created to provide training to the consultant level for a suitable applicant and to support the cardiology services. The successful candidate will join the cardiology department in providing inpatient and outpatient care for cardiology.
The appointee will have appropriate experience in general cardiology. This post is ideally suited to a doctor pursuing a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration route to becoming a consultant cardiologist in the NHS. We can support a variety of subspecialty interests. The appointee will be responsible to the Cardiology service director, who will review the post holder's progress and career development. A postgraduate qualification (MRCP or equivalent) is essential.

Acute Medicine Consultant

We are working with a General Hospital based in the South West who are looking to recruit Acute Medicine Consultants for their department.
The Trust can offer Fixed term contracts up to 24 months or Permanent contracts for candidates who hold GMC Specialist Registration.
The department are looking for candidates who have a keen interest in Acute Medicine, ideally they will be close to submitting the Portfolio pathway formerly known as CESR.
The post has an attractive job plan: 6 Direct Clinical Care, 2 SPA, 2 flexible PA's within AM.
Consultants are supportive and enjoy collaborative working. The team hold regular acute medicine team meetings for updates and planning. The team is flexible in accommodating the interests of new colleagues. The Hospital offers a range of opportunities for new consultants to be involved in QI, service development, IT projects, research and in education and training. There is excellent practical, administrative and management support for roles in these areas.
Flexible working arrangements will help to facilitate a desirable work-life balance with the post-holder completing their PA’s between the hours of 08:00-17:00. There is no on-call requirement with this post, with the option for your hours to be annualised.

Consultant in General Medicine

We have been instructed by a large teaching hospital in the North West to assist in their search for a consultant in General Medicine.
You will be joining a well established team and be responsible for the care of approximately 15 acute hospital care inpatients, inpatient rehabilitation outpatient clinics and on-call for general medicine. There will also be an opportunity to explore a special interest.
The trust is based in an excellent location, local to a major international airport, several highly rated grammar schools, and plenty of entertainment facilities.
The job plan will be 10 PAs with 8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPAs.

Essential criteria: Full GMC registration & good experience in interventional Radiology
The successful applicant is required to maintain the expanding workload of the department including supporting the extensive department input into MDT meetings, to meet waiting list targets and to enable the introduction of extended working.
The appointed individual would be expected to have a sub-specialty interest in interventional radiology and to contribute to the general workload of the department. There is flexibility in the number of general sessions expected. There are currently 22 full time consultants in post.
The department's current consultants operate very much as a team and are looking for colleagues who are keen to work in this environment. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the general workload and participate in the on call rota, currently 1 in 18.
The successful candidate will take part in the diagnostic general on call rota. On call interventional radiology is provided by the local University hospital.
The department has a proactive strategy to ensure the highest standard of patient care is maintained. This is supported by well-structured and comprehensive governance processes. In 2019, the department achieved accreditation to the Quality Standard for imaging (QSI) (Imaging Services Accreditation Scheme) by the RCR and CoR, the first imaging department to receive the award in the region.
They are also one of the only acute trusts to receive a CQC of outstanding.
The hospital is very close to the cities of Liverpool and Manchester. They are also not far from the peak and lake districts so it is an interesting mix of urban and rural life. Geriatric Consultant

I am partnered with an NHS trust based in the South, seeking to appoint a Geriatric consultant with an interest in Acute Geriatrics on an NHS fixed term or permanent contract.
The department are undergoing expansion with a complete emergency floor redesign and rebuild.
We are a 350 bed District General Hospital with a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services.
The successful applicant will participate in the delivery and development of services for older people in our hospital. Their timetable will be tailored to individual skills and subspeciality expertise, but likely to focus on working with existing colleagues in front door frailty.
We provide daily geriatrician led ward rounds on the medical admissions unit, frailty SDEC services, a 38 bed inpatient frailty unit, an acute stroke unit and associated rehabilitation and outpatient stroke services, orthogeriatric and general surgical liaison services, Parkinson's disease service.
We have developed a fully integrated acute frailty unit in the acute medical unit which provides daily weekday geriatrician ward rounds and MDT review. A Frailty SDEC service provides rapid access appointments, medical falls reviews and direct reviews of suitable ED patients. Geriatricians also provide ward rounds in community hospitals and input to locality virtual wards, alongside providing an advice line to local GPs, community frailty teams and paramedics.
We have close links with colleagues working in our local community hospitals with some colleagues working across the two areas providing some sessions for inpatient care in these hospitals. Our multidisciplinary department is working together towards becoming a Centre of Excellence for the Care of Older People.
The post holder would be expected to contribute to the all-age medical take, with frequency 1 in 12 weekdays and 1 in 8 weekends.
