About the Role
Exciting Opportunity: Consultant in Medical Oncology (Breast & Other Tumour Site)
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Consultant in Medical Oncology to join the Breast & Other Tumour Site team in Kent. The successful candidate will have a significant role in breast cancer care and will join a dynamic team of medical and clinical oncologists. This position also provides the opportunity to contribute to clinical trials through our well-established oncology research department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend Consultant-led outpatient clinics (both at the Centre and Peripheral Clinics), including associated administrative tasks and chemotherapy prescribing.
- Supervise SHOs and ward patients.
- Review patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy, as required by nursing or radiography staff.
- Teach SHOs and medical students.
- Participate in clinical governance and audit activities.
- Full GMC Registration
- MRCP or equivalent

The Role
Post holders will join the daytime general paediatric team, providing cover to the Emergency Department and ambulatory service. The role also includes:
Delivery of general paediatric outpatient clinics
Participation in paediatric subspecialty clinics, depending on individual interests
Support of the neonatal service, including attending weeks on the Level 1 neonatal unit
Participation in a 1:8 neonatal consultant on-call-from-home rota
Candidates must have Level 2/3 neonatal experience and be confident in managing neonatal emergencies.
There is:
A consultant resident on site 24 hours a day
An additional general paediatric consultant on call from home to support the paediatric service
Currently no resident night commitment (this is expected to change following future service reconfiguration, with the neonatal unit planned to close over the next few years)
Job Plan
10 PA post (full time): 8 DCC + 2 SPA (pro rata for LTFT)
Annualised rota to support flexibility and promote a healthy work/life balance

I am pleased to be working with a leading Acute General Hospital that is seeking to appoint a Consultant Histopathologist/Cytopathologist.
The successful applicant will support the delivery of high-quality histopathology and cytopathology services, with opportunities to contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of these services within the Trust. The department welcomes applicants with a specialist interest in Breast, Gynaecological, Uropathology, Neuropathology, and Hematopathology. Applicants with other subspecialty interests are also encouraged to apply, as the service can accommodate a wide range of expertise.
