About the Role

We are pleased to be working with a reputable NHS trust based in the North Midlands region who are seeking an Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctor to join their team on a fixed term contract.

The trust is located within a 1-hour commute of both Manchester and Birmingham and provides easy access to international airports, all local amenities, and has a multicultural community.
The busy Emergency Department serves a population of over 300,000 people and has recently undergone significant expansion and development, in order to provide the best care possible. Within the department is a well -equipped ophthalmological examination room, two mental health assessment rooms, and a minor injury facility.

The job plan consists of 10 Programmed activities, which is split into 9 direct clinical care and 1 Supporting professional activity.

Main Duties of the role
  • Direct responsibility for management of patients
  • Care of patients in Clinical Decision Unit
  • Develop and maintain relationships with various members of the team
  • Liaise with other departments

Essential Criteria to Apply
  • GMC Registration
  • MRCEM
  • Minimum 1 years NHS Experience
  • ALS, PALS, ATLS

We have been instructed by a large teaching hospital in the North West to assist in their search for a consultant in General Medicine.  You will be joining a well established team and be responsible for the care of approximately 15 acute hospital care inpatients, inpatient rehabilitation outpatient clinics and on-call for general medicine. There will also be an opportunity to explore a special interest. The trust is based in an excellent location, local to a major international airport, several highly rated grammar schools, and plenty of entertainment facilities.  The job plan will be 10 PAs with 8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPAs. Main duties of the role: Provide direct care to for General Medical Patients
