About the Role
I am recruiting a Paediatric Radiologist on a Fixed term or permanent contract in one of the UKs leading childrens hospitals and major trauma centres.
The successful applicant will share responsibility with seven other colleagues for the provision of all aspects of paediatric imaging in our Trust and the Trusts within the network. The team provide second opinions in cases of suspected physical abuse to a wide range of hospitals from across the UK.
This post include sessions for reporting time for Plain Film, MRI, CT and nuclear medicine, performing ultrasound and fluoroscopy procedures and participation in multidisciplinary meetings.
The Paediatric Radiology Department is newly refurbished. There are two X-ray Rooms, two Ultrasound rooms and a Fluoroscopy suite. Paediatric CT and MRI scans and Interventional Radiology procedures are undertaken within the wider imaging department located nearby.
The Paediatric Radiology Team consists of 7 Consultant Paediatric Radiologists and a team of Paediatric Sonographers (3 WTE), Specialist Paediatric Radiographers (3 WTE), Rotational Paediatric Plain Film Radiographers (2 WTE), led by a Lead Paediatric Radiographer. The team are supported by two Paediatric Imaging Assistants, who support with reception duties, ultrasound and fluoroscopy cases.
We offer a comprehensive range of specialist paediatric services. We provides a tertiary paediatric and neonatal services to the adjacent areas, surgical services and neurosurgical services. Additionally the hospital provides supra-regional services for paediatric spinal surgery, rheumatology, nephro-urology and cystic fibrosis.

I am recruiting for a Consultant radiologist with an interest in MSK for a permanent or fixed term contract.
The successful applicant will share responsibility with 3 other colleagues for the provision of all aspects of MSK imaging and intervention in our Trust. A fellowship in MSK radiology would be desirable.
The MSK imaging service supports a busy acute and planned Orthopaedic Dept (24 Consultants, 26 Middle grade and 7 Fellows) and houses one of the largest arthroplasty service in Europe and is the local Trauma Unit.
Post-holders will be expected to provide general and specialist MSK imaging services across all modalities (Nuclear Medicine is run separately). Participation in a general CT session supports the skills for on call. There will be opportunities to expand into/develop other MSK areas. Job planned commitments would also include an US list and fluoro/US/CT guided MSK procedures. The plain film reporting is equally distributed amongst radiologists and reporting radiographers. Support to Orthopaedic, Trauma, Rheumatology, Spinal, Sarcoma MDTs is shared between the MSK Radiologist.
The area has several theatres and concert halls, among them. There are also numerous restaurants, pubs, night-clubs and cinemas in the area as well as facilities for many outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, all water sports and a large many trail for riding, cycling or walking in the areas of the New Forest and Purbecks - a wide variety of other sporting activities. There is Premiership football team on your doorstep.
Adjacent to the hospital complex are 2 leisure/fitness centers both with indoor swimming pool, gym/fitness room, squash courts etc.
The city has its own rapidly expanding university with huge infrastructure investment occurring in relation to this. The is an Institute of Medical Visualisation aimed at performing medical research housing a 3T MRI scanner. College have sites at both ends of
the conurbation and there are many excellent state and independent sector schools in the area.
The travel time by rail to London (Waterloo) is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes and by road approximately two hours. The city also has its own recently expanded airport with internal and international flights connecting to popular centers across Europe.

Consultant Radiologist Neuro

I am partnered with a district General hospital in the south of the UK seeking to appoint a general radiologist with an interest in Neuro Radiology for a 12 month fixed term contract (with view to extend).
You will join a team of 23 substantive consultants.
Applicants should demonstrate a high level of clinical experience and competence in General Radiology. Development of subspecialty areas of interest in addition to core skills is encouraged and the successful candidate is expected to participate in the development of Radiology services.
The Radiology Departments are actively involved in teaching with four radiology trainees on rotation from the deanery. Audit and other continuing professional developmental activities are positively encouraged.
First line on call is provided by SpR or staff grade radiologists until 10pm weekdays and 5pm weekends with on call outsourced to a reporting company overnight. Our General Radiology consultant team is responsible for checking scans the following day to ensure quality assurance and education on a 1 in 8 rota. Daytime cover is also provided for a Malignant cord compression MRI at weekends on the same 1 in 8 rota.
This is a great place to work and live, there are easy road and rail links to London (just over an hour away). The south east coast is also very close by boasting some of Britains best beaches. Easy access to London Gatwick and London Heathrow for frequent flyers.

Cardiology Consultant

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Yorkshire for a new Consultant Cardiologist to join an existing team of nine Consultant Cardiologists working in this successful Teaching Hospital. This is a post for a consultant cardiologist with an interest in complex devices; this will include sessions to carry out implantation and follow up of complex devices. This may include sessions in the catheter lab at our neighbouring hospital.
You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of a seven day a week service however this can be delivered flexibly to maintain work life balance or support a specialist interest at a tertiary centre.
CARDIOLOGY AND CARDIOTHORACIC SURGERY SERVICES
Providing tertiary Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery Services for a population of approximately 1.8 million people as well as Secondary Care Cardiology Services. Cardiology, Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery services have been housed within the purpose-built Hospital since April 1997. The facilities include 5 cardiac catheter labs with a 6-bay Day Case Trolley Area, 5 dedicated surgical operating theatres, a 12 bedded Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and an 8-bedded Coronary Care Unit.
The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Service
The Arrhythmia Service consists of 7 Consultant Cardiologists including two specialist device implanters. Services include implantation of complex devices, conduction-system pacing, leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous ICD implantation and extraction, with high risk extractions undertaken as hybrid procedures jointly with cardiothoracic surgical colleagues.
There is also a post-CCT Clinical fellow, a team of Arrhythmia Nurse Specialists including an Arrhythmia Care Coordinator (4 posts) and dedicated administrative support with a single point of access.
