About the Role
We are partnered with an Acute NHS Trust based in the West Midlands who are looking to recruit Elderly Medicine Consultants for their department.
Additional investment has been provided to improve their Elderly services at the Trust and within the wider community. These services include:
The role does attract an on call allowance with frequency of on calls listed:
This would be a fixed term contract for 2 years with the option to extend and the required support with the Portfolio pathway, the aim to offer permanent contracts upon completion of this.

The Trust is situated in a historic part of the West Midlands, it benefits from having excellent transport links, approximately 45 minutes from Birmingham city centre, affordable housing, a wide network of well performing schools and all the necessary amenities.

- Orthogeriatric services
- improvements in current elderly services
- Community services including virtual wards
The role does attract an on call allowance with frequency of on calls listed:
- 1 in 20 General Medicine 1630-2130
- 1 in 8 Acute frailty weekends 0900-1700
This would be a fixed term contract for 2 years with the option to extend and the required support with the Portfolio pathway, the aim to offer permanent contracts upon completion of this.
Key requirements for this role are listed below:
- GMC Registration
- MRCP or MRCPi in full
- NHS experience within Geriatrics- This can be at registrar level
- Experience overseas with Elderly care

We are working with a General Hospital based in the South West who are looking to recruit Acute Medicine Consultants for their department.
The Trust can offer Fixed term contracts up to 24 months or Permanent contracts for candidates who hold GMC Specialist Registration.
The department are looking for candidates who have a keen interest in Acute Medicine, ideally they will be close to submitting the Portfolio pathway formerly known as CESR.
The post has an attractive job plan: 6 Direct Clinical Care, 2 SPA, 2 flexible PA's within AM.
Consultants are supportive and enjoy collaborative working. The team hold regular acute medicine team meetings for updates and planning. The team is flexible in accommodating the interests of new colleagues. The Hospital offers a range of opportunities for new consultants to be involved in QI, service development, IT projects, research and in education and training. There is excellent practical, administrative and management support for roles in these areas.
Flexible working arrangements will help to facilitate a desirable work-life balance with the post-holder completing their PA’s between the hours of 08:00-17:00. There is no on-call requirement with this post, with the option for your hours to be annualised.

Acute Medicine Consultant

£109,725 - £145,478
We are working with a University Hospital based in the South West who are looking to recruit Acute Medicine Consultants for their department.
These are permanent posts, however, the Trust will look at Fixed term contracts for candidates without GMC Specialist Registration.
The department can support the portfolio pathway and at present have 3 Doctors completing this process.
The post is a 10 PA contract with the opportunity for 2 additional PA's in a sub specialist interest, there is an on call commitment.
Acute Medicine Consultants will be expected to work no more than one in seven weekends, in line with other medical specialties. This will usually involve one long day (0800 to 2000 with a break in the middle) and one short day (0800 to 1300), or Saturday Take Assist (1100 to 1800) and Sunday SDEC shift (1000 to 1700).

GMC Registration
MRCP in full or equivalent post graduate qualification
Experience in an Acute Medicine setting
Leadership and Management experience

Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctor

£59,175- £95,400
We are working with an NHS Trust based in the East of England who are looking to recruit Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctors for their division.
The Emergency Department, has recently had a new expansion and has opened 4 beds in resus; 16 Majors bays and fit to sit areas. 3 Rapid assessment/ambulance off load area. 6 bays in Ambulatory majors with a further 4 rooms for assessment.
There is a dedicated paediatric facility consisting of a waiting room and 3 cubicles. Paediatric patients make up around 20% of the workload.
There is 7 an Urgent Care are with 6 cubicles and waiting room for minor injury and illness patients.
The hospital has a fully operational floodlit Helipad which provides easy access to emergency care for many of our patients who are injured/fall ill in the more remote areas of the region.
The role is a 10 PA contract which can be divided into 8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPA time, there is support for CESR depending on what requirements the successful candidate has.
