About the Role
We are delighted to be working with a well respected Hospital based in the Devon area, which is looking to recruit a Consultant in Clinical Oncology (Breast).
As the only Cancer Centre for the county of Devon, the Centre provides a full range of cancer treatments for our patients as close to home as possible. We are early adopters of new treatments and have:
• A large and active clinical trial portfolio, being second highest recruiters in the Peninsula and highest for commercial trial activity.
• We are regularly in the top 5 departments in the country for radiotherapy treatments per machine and treatment complexity.
• We are commissioned for SABR to Lung, bone, prostate and nodal sites.
• We continue to be the highest scoring Trust in the South-West in the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey with our highly trained specialist nurses notably praised.
• With £135 million in new investments, the Trust opened a brand-new Haematology-Oncology Inpatient Unit in Summer 2023.

Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist

We are working in partnership with a leading Teaching NHS Foundation Trust in Hampshire to recruit a Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist on a substantive or fixed term basis.
We are looking for a full-time Consultant in Paediatric Rheumatology to join our award-winning multidisciplinary team at the Hospital. We are seeking a collaborative, enthusiastic and forward-thinking colleague committed to providing high-quality, family-centred care for children and young people with chronic rheumatological conditions.
You will join a regional specialist service comprising two paediatric rheumatologists, three nurse specialists, two physiotherapists, a clinical psychologist, a GRID trainee, and dedicated administrative support. We are a cohesive, motivated team with a strong culture of shared learning, innovation and continual service improvement.
Our service delivers specialist care across 14 partner hospitals in the Wessex region. Outreach patients account for around 50% of the clinical workload. We are one of only a few UK paediatric rheumatology centres using musculoskeletal (MSK) point-of-care ultrasound in routine practice. There is excellent opportunity for you to develop MSK USS skills with support and mentoring from the team.

Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care
Hampshire
£109,725 to £145,478 a year
We are working in partnership with a leading Teaching NHS Foundation Trust in Hampshire to recruit a Consultant PICU on a substantive or fixed term basis.
The PICU department is a 16 bedded intensive care unit delivering a comprehensive service for all sub-specialties for the geographical area covering the Wessex Region. In addition, a General Paediatric Service is provided to the District and congenital cardiac surgical services are delivered to the Thames Valley area.
The regional PIC retrieval service is delivered from the trust in collaboration with Oxford University Hospital. In 2022/23 there were 900 admissions to hopsital with 350 level 3 retrievals and 250 transport episodes. All types of cardiac interventional procedures are carried out, with approximately 350 cardiac operations performed each year. The PICU department has consistently one of the lowest SMRs and highest throughputs per bed of any PICU in the UK. We are a regional ECMO centre offer VV and VA ECMO for respiratory and cardiac support.
Job responsibilities
Clinical Duties: All clinical sessions will be in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
The case mix of admissions reflects a mixed general PICU. Support is provided for all the paediatric subspecialty services including paediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery, paediatric neurology and neurosurgery, paediatric nephrology, haematology/oncology, respiratory, gastroenterology, infectious diseases/immunology, endocrinology, paediatric surgery, general paediatrics and trauma. The Intensive Care consultants manage patients in collaboration with the various multi-disciplinary teams involved with the patients.
It is essential for you to have significant experience in paediatric cardiac intensive care, renal replacement therapies and techniques of advanced ventilatory support including the use of inhaled nitric oxide, high frequency oscillation and extracorporeal life support. Ideally you would have spent time in a commissioned ECMO unit. It is also necessary for you to have significant experience in management of severe traumatic head injuries and management of complex patients with multiple organ failure and transport medicine.

We are working in partnership with a leading Acute NHS Foundation Trust in Greater Manchester to recruit a Consultant Haematologist on a substantive or fixed term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, expanding team currently comprising three experienced haematologists, a Physician Associate, and an FY1 doctor.
