About the Role
We are delighted to work with a well respected hospital based in the Lancashire area, which is looking to recruit a Community Consultant Paediatrician x2. They would also consider a speciality doctor who has strong experience in ASD, ADHD, neuro disability, Children Looked After, children in need and children with special educational needs.
The ideal applicant will have experience in all aspects of community paediatrics including child development, ASD, ADHD, neuro disability, Children Looked After, children in need and children with special educational needs.
You will have the ability to work independently but within a supportive team. Multiagency and multidisciplinary working is expected and encouraged.
An area of special interest to complement those already available in the Department would be welcomed and can be discussed. We are especially interested in someone with an interest/experience and/or a SPIN module in Paediatric Neurology/ epilepsy.
You will have ready access to senior opinion when required. Additional training will be made available for any areas a successful candidate has less experience. Career progression will be supported and encouraged via a named supervisor, mentoring, annual appraisal and job planning.
There are no on-call or acute responsibilities attached to this post. However, there are opportunities to interact with acute colleagues.

• Full valid Registration with the General Medical Council
• Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (or equivalent) or Diploma in Child Health
• Is able to demonstrate having achieved the competencies equivalent to Higher Specialist Paediatric Training including usually 3 years in Community Child Health (usually after 5 years of Higher Specialist Training in total).
• Level 3 Child Protection Training

Main duties of the job
The current on-call Rota is 1:11weekends for ECPOD (Sat-Sun). This is subject to change as the service expands. A lieu day is given after a weekend on call. There are 2 other medical consultants on site as part of the medical take. On Sunday Night 8pm -8am , ECPOD provides cover and advice to the medical take from home.
The department is keen to accommodate special interests; we are happy to discuss and consider appropriate changes in the weekly job plan. Especially in the areas of:
· Perioperative medicine(including surgical/ Orthogeriatrics/ ect.)
· Frailty
· Community
· Same day emergency care.
The post-holder will take part in the department’s regular teaching to medical students, junior doctors and other health professionals. He/she will supervise junior staff, as well as other members of the department’s clinical team, and community clinicians.

Locum Consultant Histopathologist

I am partnered with a District General Hospital situated in the South East, seeking a Locum Consultant Histopathologist.
The trust is seeking to recruit a 10PA post for a Consultant Cellular Pathologist for the trust.
The appointee will be required to be medically qualified and to have broad experience in diagnostic histopathology and cytopathology. It is expected that the appointee will hold Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists or show evidence of equivalent training and experience. The appointee will join the existing team to provide specialist care to this growing population of patients and raise departmental profiles through teaching and education.
The successful applicant will support the current delivery of histopathology and cytopathology services, including contribution to the development of these services at the trust. The post would also benefit from taking the lead in one or more subspecialty disciplines. There is scope for negotiation within the department as to which cancer site the appointee will act as lead in, however there is currently a need to cover the Gynecology screening and non-screening workload and MDT, non gynae cytology workload, GIT workload and upper GIT MDT.

Specialty Doctor Community Paediatrics

I am partnered with a Teaching Hospital situated in Greater London, seeking a Speciality Doctor in Community Paediatrics.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established community team within the Neurodevelopmental and Neurodisability (NDND) Care Group in the paediatric Directorate within the trust.
The hospital has a dedicated paediatric outpatient department and a Child Development Centre for children with complex neurodisability and/or neurodevelopmental needs, with input from clinical psychology, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy. There are also excellent links with paediatric neurology, clinical genetics, orthopaedics, respiratory paediatrics, audiology, ENT and child & adolescent psychiatry, including the learning disability team.
The Neurodevelopmental Paediatric Service is the largest sub speciality service within the NDND care group, with approximately 1400 new referrals into the service in a year. Children are seen for developmental assessments at secondary Paediatric clinics at the hospital site and in community outreach clinics. The local has developed special schools and units/resource bases for learning and physical disability, emotional and behavioural problems, visual and hearing impairment and autism.
