  • To support the inpatient service in Haematology at the Hospital
  • Contribute to the county wide consultant haematology on call rota (current 1 in 6)
  • Outpatient workload
  • Research, Education, Audit and Continuing Professional Development. The Locum Consultant will participate in the clinical education of medical students  
  • Special Interests/Service Lead Requirements
  • Laboratory responsibilities

We are delighted to be working alongside a well established teaching hospital in the South coast of England, who are looking for a permeant Haematology Consultant to join them. They are looking for a Consultant with a special interest in Hematopathology  The trust is situated on the south coast, with an international airport and direct trains to London. The New Forest National Park and beaches of the Jurassic coast are also right on your doorstep. The city offers living costs 20% lower than London and 14 schools rated outstanding by Ofsted. Requirements  Full GMC Registration  FRCPath  Specialist Registration  NHS experience  Some of your duties will include Hands-on clinical involvement as a Consultant Haematologist, working closely with the other Consultant Haematologists in post and sharing responsibility for all haematology patients. Participation and attendance at joint MDT with WAT and in the future participation in any joint on call / attending system initiated.

I am currently working alongside a trust in East Sussex who are seeking Diabetes and Endocrinology Consultant to join their expanding department on a fixed term or substantive basis. The duties of this post will include supporting primary care to manage the large majority of diabetic patients not requiring specialist care. This will involve liaising with GP's, taking part in education programmes for practice staff, responding to email requests from GP's for clinical advice and working closely with community-based specialist nurses to manage caseload About the area:  The area has some fantastic schools, excellent transport links and great value housing. Travel to the capital and beyond is quick and easy due to the high-speed rail link which runs from Ashford to St. Pancras in London.
