About the Role
I am currently working with a Trust based within the Midlands seeking a Consultant Geriatrician role within a well-organized and collaborative department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality care for frail, elderly patients across our organization. This is a NHS fixed term contract or Substance.
The department offers a wide range of services at both specialty and subspecialty levels, working closely with community teams, primary care, and other specialties to develop and improve patient pathways. They have strong support from senior management and the executive team, ensuring continued development and expansion of high-quality geriatric services.

Clinical Duties:
- Provide and develop high-quality geriatrics services.
- Participate in the consultant on-call rota for General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.
- Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
- Support junior medical staff through supervision and mentorship.
- Provide clinical and educational supervision for trainees.
- Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
- Support staff development within the geriatrics department.
- The main hospital and largest site, providing a wide range of acute services.
- Easy transport links via the M1 motorway and A38, connecting to Nottingham, Derby, and Sheffield.
- Well-connected by train and bus services to Nottingham and surrounding areas
