This is an exceptional time to join the Department. The Trust has recently completed a multimillion-pound redevelopment, transforming its liver unit and significantly enhancing its service provision. As a new Consultant, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Hepatology services in a region with a substantial chronic liver disease burden. The Hepatology department offers a broad and progressive service, including nurse-led Fibroscan clinics, stable cirrhosis pathways, and a dedicated Hepatitis C service. Based in a vibrant coastal town, the Trust serves a local population of more than 400,000 and welcomes over 10 million visitors each year. We have been instructed by a large teaching hospital in the North West to assist in their search for a consultant in General Medicine.  You will be joining a well established team and be responsible for the care of approximately 15 acute hospital care inpatients, inpatient rehabilitation outpatient clinics and on-call for general medicine. There will also be an opportunity to explore a special interest. The trust is based in an excellent location, local to a major international airport, several highly rated grammar schools, and plenty of entertainment facilities.  The job plan will be 10 PAs with 8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPAs.
