Consultant Radiology Opportunities

We are partnered with a District hospital in South Yorkshire who are looking for two experienced Radiology Consultants with a interest in Chest / Cardiac Imaging Or Non vascular intervention to join them on a fixed term or substantive basis.

The trust is surrounded by attractive countryside within two miles from the town centre that has all necessary amenities, there is also excellent rail links offering easy access to several airports. Housing in the area is competitively priced which offers a wide range of choice including urban and rural areas.

Facilities included:

• A purpose built Urgent and Emergency Care Centre that combines Primary Care and the Emergency Department
• Approximately 350 inpatient beds
• Same Day Emergency Care Units in respect of Surgery, Medicine and Gynaecology
• A comprehensive pre-op assessment service with robust pre-operative processes for shared decision making and including CPET testing service
• Intensive Therapy, High Dependency and Coronary Care Units
• Cardiac Catheterisation Suite
• Breast Screening Suite
• Endoscopy Unit
• Day Surgery Unit

Requirements 

• Full GMC 
• FRCR
• Experience in ether Chest, Cardiac, Non Vascular  Intervention 

The on-call commitment is currently 1:9; the new post would support a move to 1:10. All cross sectional imaging after 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on weekends is outsourced to a Tele radiology facility but the on-call consultant is still expected to be available if needed (in event of technology failure or protocolling issues).
