Main duties of the job The main duties and responsibilities of the Consultants are: Consultant of the week 7-Day - Inpatient (1:8 weeks) Outpatient Duties (7:8 weeks) 24 Hr Out of Hours Upper GI Emergency Endoscopy Out of Hours Rota (1in8) Total Direct Clinical Care (DCC): 7.5 PA Support Professional Activities (SPA) - 2.5 SPA OFF ward (7:8 weeks, 1.5 SPA On Ward (1:7 weeks) Options to increase clinical or management PAs (by discussion, max 12 PA total) Innovations to improve local services will be supported (e.g. Large Polypectomy, BSCP etc) An Education or Research interest can be support by discussion and mutual agreement. We are looking for a full-time Consultant in Paediatric Rheumatology to join our award-winning multidisciplinary team at the Hospital. We are seeking a collaborative, enthusiastic and forward-thinking colleague committed to providing high-quality, family-centred care for children and young people with chronic rheumatological conditions. You will join a regional specialist service comprising two paediatric rheumatologists, three nurse specialists, two physiotherapists, a clinical psychologist, a GRID trainee, and dedicated administrative support. We are a cohesive, motivated team with a strong culture of shared learning, innovation and continual service improvement. Our service delivers specialist care across 14 partner hospitals in the Wessex region. Outreach patients account for around 50% of the clinical workload.
